General Message:

My name {Your Name} and I want a better state.

I am deeply concerned about the O’Farrell Government’s proposed workplace laws that will impact on public sector workers in NSW. I understand that these laws will allow to the O’Farrell Government to unilaterally change the wages and conditions of NSW public sector workers through regulation and not the proper process involving the NSW Industrial Relations Commission. In the past the NSW community has strongly rejected Workchoices style legislation. We do not want this legislation passed in NSW.

Our communities rely on strong public services. This legislation will undermine the services that our public sector workers deliver to our community. Barry O’Farrell did not go to the last election saying that he was going to introduce Workchoices style legislation and cut the pay and conditions of NSW public sector workers and undermine the role of the NSW industrial commission.

I’m writing to ask you to vote against this bill when it comes before you in Parliament.
